ROBOTICS SOFTWARE ENGINEER
The resource will be placed within the Robotics Software Department reporting directly to the Robotics Software Manager.
He/she will be involved in a number of key activities within our operational environment. In particular, he/she will be in charge of software development for ABB, Comau or Fanuc robots, adapting solutions to the specific needs of our customised robot islands.
He/she will also be responsible for PLC and HMI software development, focusing on platforms such as Siemens and Rockwell. Another important part of the role will be to conduct tests and trials at our premises, in order to ensure the proper functioning of the robot cells. Once this phase is completed, he/she will be involved in the commissioning of systems at customer sites, providing direct support during the implementation process.
- will be part of the robot and PLC software development teams;
- will interact with the rest of the robotics team to understand the needs of the machine in relation to its application;
- will be in charge of software development in high-level structured programming language (such as RAPID or PDL2) for the realisation of routines and tasks;
- will take part in testing carried out at the company’s headquarters;
- will follow the commissioning and the training of the customer’s personnel;
- such software is realised using the development environments of Polytec’s main technological partners in the robotics field: ABB (RobotStudio), Comau, Fanuc;
- depending on the customer and the type of project, the person will try his/her hand in the various development environments, supervised by the department manager and in collaboration with senior resources;
- will be trained for the knowledge of software programming of PLCs auxiliary to robotic cells;
- will take care of the development of software in Ladder / KOP language and the parameterization and calibration of the Inverter;
- will take part in the training courses promoted by BM Group to deepen and improve their skills in the field.

- Willingness to acquire new knowledge in computer science applied in the industrial field.
- Diploma and/or degree in electronics, electrical engineering, industrial automation or similar.
- Willingness to make occasional trips around Italy and abroad.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Excellent stress resistance, interpersonal skills and operational flexibility complete the profile.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of sensors applied to industrial automation.
- Basic knowledge of robots and their kinematic/dynamic functioning.
- Good knowledge of structured programming.
- Equipment: Smartphone and PC.
- Shared apartment/hotel for non-residents during training period at the Borgo Chiese headquarters.
